I'm Penny Gamble-Williams

Greetings! I am Penny, a member of the Chappaquiddick Tribe of the Wampanoag Nation of Massachusetts.

I have been exhibiting my work for over 40 years throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic. I was born in Providence, Rhode Island where I studied art at Rhode Island School of Design, and was mentored by Antonio Dattorro, a well known Rhode Island visual artist and educator.

My mother was an artist who graduated from Rhode Island School of Design. As a child my mother showed me various painting techniques, creating collages, as well as cermanics, and jewelry making. I knew at an early age that art would be my chosen path.
